Our biggest fundraiser of the year, this is an important piece of the PTA puzzle. This fundraiser allows us to do so much inside the school and for the students of Wiley Elementary. This fundraiser represents nearly half our annual income, so it is important that everyone participate. If all of the students come back with just $30 in donations, we will not only meet, but will exceed our goals for the fundraiser.

We are excited to announce the sixth annual Jog, Walk and Roll-A-Thon at Wiley on Friday, October 16th!  Last year’s Jog-A-Thon was a huge success and tons of fun for everyone!  Since this is our primary fundraiser this year, we will need all Wiley students to not only participate in the running, but also in collecting donations from sponsors for their efforts.  Our hope is that this fundraiser continues to foster pride in our school and our community, as well as instill a sense of fitness and healthy lifestyle in the students.


For those who are new to the Jog-A-Thon, all students will be coming home with a donation envelope on September 25th.  The students will have about 2 weeks to raise funds from family, friends, neighbors, and businesses.  The donation envelopes are due back October 12th. A sponsor can pledge a flat donation of whatever they feel comfortable.  The money is to be collected at the time the pledge is made.  We will reach our goal if each student raises $30 or more.  Prizes will be awarded for the top money earners and the top mileage runners.


During school hours, students will run or walk as many laps as they can for 30 minutes while parent volunteers mark off lap cards as they complete a lap.  Music will be provided to help keep our runners motivated and moving!  We will also have West Richland Police, firefighters, paramedics, and other community members on the field to support our runners.


In the past, PTA funds have gone to support a wide variety of school programs.  They have updated the school computer lab, assisted field trips when funds weren’t otherwise available, supported literacy programs, and helped host fun, free family nights for all students.


We have committees that are currently looking for volunteers to help with preparations for this year’s event.  Help is needed with collecting and organizing donation packets, gathering and dispersing prizes, and set up for event day. We will also need many volunteers for event day.  If you could help in any of these areas, please contact us right away.

$10 Tickets

What are these and how do they work?

The $10 tickets are a way for you to tell us all through the process about the money you have raised. Every time you earn another $10, fill out and bring in a ticket. The ticket gets you in the drawing for that and all the upcoming Wednesdays, Sept 30th, Oct 7th, and 14th.



Please do not turn these in inside the packets. They may be missed!
